1. What is the oil content?
   Why? In fish, the oil is the source of Omega 3’s and 6’s. Fish oil is the best food source in fish for beneficial fungi. The oil also helps the fish stick to leaves and stay bound in the soil. The more oil the better, at least a minimum of 15-20%.



2. What is the fish source?
   Why? Fresh water and inshore fish tend to have high heavy metals. Fish racks, and fish that has been eviscerated at sea, do not have skins (collagen) or stomachs (enzymes). Look for deep water, ocean fish. Also whole fish not fish racks.



3. Is the fish source consistent?
   Why? You want to be sure that you know exactly what you are getting. Beware of companies that can’t guarantee consistency.



4. How is it processed?
   Why? You want the fish proteins in the material to be in their natural state. High heat will de-nature the proteins and destroy the enzymes, hormones, vitamins and amino acids. Fermentation will gas off much of the nutrients. Make sure your fish is low temperature, enzymatically digested.
